After the devastating earth quake struck Wen Chuan of Si Chuan province, every citizen in China united together and lent their helping hands. Jiaoda But’one knows its responsibility, and propagated it’s members to join the team of donation. But’one had also organize a vehicle team to transport food, water and medical items to Wen Chuan and surrounding towns.
Preparation
To transport supplies, on May 16th, But’one proposed to organize a love vehicle team. Right away, CEO Lei and most of the company members responded. Our collection team bought medicines, fast foods, bottled water, and cleaning items with donated money. Then they prepared several vehicles, and got passing permission from relevant government. On May 17th, But’one love vehicle team left Xi’an with supplies plus the caring hearts of all But’one members.
Disaster
As we drive, we see all sorts of donation to the disaster advertisements along the side of the roads. All donation vehicles are free to drive on all free ways. We see many other donation vehicles heading in the same direction as us, and police officers salute to us as we drive pass.
In Guang Yuan, we can see debris of collapsed buildings, walls, and survivors have built tents as temporary shelter. We arrived in Qing Chuan, and the destruction only got worse. Stones that’s the size of rooms are every where, and both sides of streets are mountains of debris. It gave us a feeling of world’s end. People with different purposes are every where, some are government’s supports, some are medical experts, most are military soldiers digging in the debris for survivors……
Collapsed buildings, smashed cars, fallen bridges, giant rock, countless military soldiers, survivors who are crying in grief for their dead relatives……
facing all of the things we usually can only see on TV, our eyes are wet and could not speak a word.
Moving
Vehicles from all over the country are driving in to the ruins, and they are transports for food, water, shelters, helpers, and injured people…… Military soldiers are every where, they are the main force during this earth quake salvation.
In a small village, a couple dozen of kids stand by the road side, and they help posters of the slogans: “Welcome military”, “Thank you every one”. They were there to welcome us. These slogans are posted every where along the roads, and they are not by specific names and organizations, but they brought tears to our eyes.
Regret
Because of the traffic control, we did not reach Qing Chuan. We stopped in a village that’s 30 km away, and through the military we handed supplies to the government. We did not see what happened to Qing Chuan
Our total traveled distance was about 1500 km, but we regret that we brought too little. But one the way back we see many donation vehicles, we felt a strength, the strength of unity, the strength of China!
Jiaoda But’one, we are a company that’s supported by people. We care about our future, but we more clearly understand our social responsibility. When disaster harms our country’s land, and devouring the lives of our siblings, we will take our actions and battle the nature. We hold each other’s hands, help the needed, and show our endless love to our people and our great country. For the devastating disaster, what we brought to them is almost negligible. But we believe if every Chinese citizen be like us, we can bring sunshine to the heart of every unfortunate victim.
